David Lind, Ed.D.

Director, International Programs

David Lind portraitDr. Lind joined Syracuse University in 2017. He oversees intensive pre-degree and pathway programs for international undergraduate and graduate students and works closely with partners across the institution on recruitment opportunities. Prior to joining Syracuse University, Lind worked with the British Council in multiple locations, most recently as Project Manager for a grant-funded program in Uruguay. In July 2022, he began a 3-year term as Board Member and Secretary of EnglishUSA, the association of intensive English language programs in the United States.

Lind has been the P.I. on behalf of Syracuse University for the Fulbright Pre-Academic Program for the past 4 years. As part of this program, he has led an initiative, in partnership with Syracuse University Libraries, through which research posters authored by over 200 international graduate students have been published on the institution’s open access scholarship repository (SURFACE).

Lind holds an Ed.D. in Executive Leadership from St. John Fisher University, an M.Ed. in Applied Linguistics from Open University, and M.P.A. from Syracuse University, and a B.A. from Cornell University. He remains current on issues pertaining to international education, and is a contributor to the NAFSA publication, International Educator. He lives with his wife and two children in Fayetteville, NY.
