Jordan Whitaker is an active advocate, coach, program coordinator, and educator in the
college esports industry. Following a successful career in national security & defense
consulting, Jordan joined Northern Virginia Community College in 2020 as Head Coach
for League of Legends and to help manage the NOVA Esports program, winning six
national championships at the junior college level in the process and earning a Letter of
Congratulations from the Governor of Virginia. While maintaining this role, Jordan also
is an Adjunct Professor and Esports Sponsorship and Recruitment Specialist for George
Mason University, having developed two esports courses which he currently teaches on
campus in Fairfax, Virginia. Jordan has been developing courses for Syracuse
University since 2021, having earned his BA in Political Science with honors from
Syracuse in 2012. He is father to a wonderful almost two-year old, has two orange cats,
and is an avid fitness and martial arts enthusiast – and he still supports Syracuse’s
football and basketball teams.
