Thomas Downes

Tom joined University College after serving as an Instructional Technologist with Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) from 2015-17. Prior to his appointment at ECS, Downes worked for 8 years as an Online Learning Analyst with the Online Learning Services (OLS) Unit at Syracuse University. As a member of OLS, Tom supported University faculty interested in teaching online and in a hybrid learning environment. Before entering higher education, Tom served from 2000-2008 as the Technology Coordinator in the Chittenango Central School District. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the State University of New York at Cortland, and masters of education degree and a New York State Teaching Certification from the State University of New York at Oswego.
