Eligible Incoming and Current Students
- Achiever Scholarship
The Admissions Committee gives merit-based scholarship consideration to undergraduate transfer students who apply for admission to their first bachelor’s degree. These scholarships are awarded regardless of financial need. Scholarships are tuition-only awards. - Haudenosaunee Promise at the College of Professional Studies
The Promise scholarships are reserved for admitted, qualified, first-year and transfer students studying part-time through the College of Professional Studies who are certified citizens of one of the historic Haudenosaunee nations. Qualified students receive financial assistance equal to the cost of tuition and mandatory fees for each year of part-time undergraduate study. - Health Care Worker Grant
The Health Care Worker grant is a tuition discount open to all full-time, part-time and per diem employees of qualifying hospitals, health care systems and services, medical facilities and clinics. Discount applies only to Syracuse University online graduate, undergraduate degrees and undergraduate certificates in the College of Professional Studies. - First Responder Grant
The First Responder Grant is a tuition discount open to all full-time and part-time uniformed employees of local level police departments, fire departments/districts, and ambulance companies - Active Duty, National Guard, and Reservists
Syracuse University matches the tuition assistance (TA) rate for active duty service members, US Reserve Component Military and National Guard members using military education benefits to study part-time in an online or on campus undergraduate degree program, covering 100% of tuition. - Military Spouse/Dependent Grant
The Military Spouse/Dependent grant is a tuition discount open to all admitted spouse or dependent of an Active Duty military member, Guard member, or Reservist. Discount applies only to Syracuse University online undergraduate degrees and undergraduate certificates in the College of Professional Studies. - Our Time Has Come Scholarship
The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarship and financial assistance to undergraduate students enrolled through the College of Professional Studies with preference given to members of an underrepresented group at Syracuse University, as part of the University’s interest in promoting the educational benefits of a diverse student body. - Skuse Family Scholarship
Beginning in the Fall 2021 semester, the Skuse Family Scholarship will be awarded to part-time undergraduate students enrolled through the College of Professional Studies, with preference given to non-residential and/or post-traditional students who demonstrate financial need. - Start Now Grant
All student who are accepted/enrolled into an online undergraduate degree or certificate program and start in or after the Fall 2022 semester. - Municipal Government and Community College Employees Tuition Incentive Program
The tuition incentive program for municipal government and community college employees is open to any employee of a county, town, village, city, district, or authority (as demonstrated by a recent pay stub).
For students eligible for more than one of the College of Professional Studies incentive programs (as listed above) please note that only the higher incentive will apply. No single or additional discount, incentive, or combination thereof, may exceed 55% of the tuition cost for that term. This policy excludes the College of Professional Studies guaranteed TA rate for eligible service members.
For students receiving external tuition-specific funding, any applicable College of Professional Studies tuition incentive grant/scholarship will be awarded towards the remaining tuition amount after the external funding has been applied.
Scholarships for Current Students
The following scholarships are available to current undergraduate students. Eligible students will be either selected and notified or invited to apply each year (typically in the spring term) for awards available the following fall/spring. Unless otherwise noted, all scholarships are tuition-only awards, covering the balance of tuition not covered by another source.

Parents Attending the College of Professional Studies
The College of Professional Studies Child Care Grant is a need-based grant available to undergraduate, part-time students enrolled through the College of Professional Studies who have submitted an application each term and meet the eligibility criteria. Grant amounts are calculated based on the number of hours a student is physically in class (not online) per week and the number of children in childcare that are under the age of twelve.
