Admission to Syracuse University is based on a combination of factors. The College of Professional Studies Admissions Office will review your application when all required materials are received and email you when a decision has been made.

Application Deadlines

Applications are reviewed on a continuing basis, so you can submit an application at any time and start in the next available session. Applications will not be reviewed until all application requirements have been met. Deadlines for completed applications are at 5 p.m. Eastern time as follows:


Online Programs

  • Spring 2026 8-Week Session 2: February 9, 2026 (available for BPS, BLS and AA degrees only)

  • Summer 2026 8-Week Session 1: April 6, 2026

  • Summer 2026 8-Week Session 1: June 1, 2026 (available for BS, BPS, BLS and AA degrees only)

  • Fall 2026 8-Week Session 1: August 3, 2026

  • Fall 2026 8-Week Session 2: September 28, 2026 (available for BPS, BLS and AA degrees only)

  • Except for Project Management, online certificate programs only accept applications to start in session 1 in fall and spring terms. The Project Management undergraduate certificate and Certificate of Advanced Study programs accept applications to start in session 1 in fall, spring, and summer terms.

Commuter On Campus Programs

  • Summer 2026 6-Week First Session: May 4, 2026

  • Summer 2026 12-Week Session: May 4, 2026

  • Summer 2026 6-Week Second Session: June 15, 2026

  • Fall 2026: August 17, 2026

 

Register for a course

Part-time students can register for classes without applying to a degree program.
