The Seinfeld Ambassador Scholar program offered through a generous gift from Syracuse University Life Trustee Judith Greenberg Seinfeld ’56 is available to part-time, undergraduate students studying through the College of Professional Studies. Selected scholars are awarded a $4,000 scholarship and serve as champions for non-traditional student participation, engagement and belonging in all aspects of academic life at Syracuse University.
Background

One of the most significant driving themes in Judy Seinfeld’s life is freedom. Her lifelong journey reflects her drive to earn and celebrate what freedom means to her. In today’s world, education offers the freedom of choice, the power to pursue a career and the ability to choose how you accomplish your educational goals. As part of that expression, the Seinfeld Ambassador Scholarship was created.
The College of Professional Studies offers pathways to achieve a college degree to students who may have thought that freedom to earn a college education had passed them by. The College of Professional Studies strives to meet students where they are and create the conditions for their academic, personal, and professional success. The Seinfeld Ambassador Scholarship provides students at the College of Professional Studies the opportunity to tell their story and shine a light on nontraditional pathways to education and freedom many students thought has escaped them.
