Financial Aid for Flexible Format Classes

Both matriculated and non-matriculated students may take flexible format classes to fulfill program requirements at Syracuse University. These classes do not coincide with the designated meeting patterns associated with the University’s published official terms; and have unique academic and financial deadlines.

Students enrolled in flexible format classes who expect to receive financial aid must register by the add deadline of the standard term within which the flexible format class is offered.

Federal Student Loans for students in flexible format classes that begin later within the standard term may disburse on dates varying from those published for the standard term, so refund processing may be affected.

If you need financial aid to pay for a class that starts after the official start date of the standard term, contact the College of Professional Studies Financial Aid Office during early registration for information and assistance.
