IBEW Local 43 Special Tuition Rate

Eligibility:

The IBEW reduced tuition rate is open to all Local 43 members.

Details:

• Discounted tuition rate of $250 per credit for Local 43 members who have completed the apprenticeship program and earned their Electrical Service Technician A.O.S. degree from Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC).
• All other members of Local 43 are eligible for the special tuition rate of $350 per credit for our programs.
• Discount applies only to the following Syracuse University programs offered through the College of Professional Studies:
  • Business Management, B.P.S.
  • Creative Leadership, B.P.S.
  • Knowledge Management, B.P.S.
  • Project Management, B.P.S.
  • Creative Leadership, undergraduate certificate
  • Knowledge Management, undergraduate certificate
  • Project Management, undergraduate certificate
• Must apply and be admitted to a program or certificate.
• Application approval is contingent on member status being in good standing. All information will be verified with the Local 43 Union Office.

For students eligible for more than one of the College of Professional Studies incentive programs (as listed above) please note that only the higher incentive will apply. No single or additional discount, incentive, or combination thereof, may exceed 55% of the tuition cost for that term. This policy excludes the College of Professional Studies guaranteed TA rate for eligible service members.
For students receiving external tuition-specific funding, any applicable College of Professional Studies tuition incentive grant/scholarship will be awarded towards the remaining tuition amount after the external funding has been applied.
